Mattie A. Culpepper, age 95, of Vienna, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late John Irwin Veal and Mary Pauline Holt Veal. She was a retired nurse, a member of First Baptist Church of Vienna and the widow of James Ross Culpepper.

Step-Daughter: Dorothy Culpepper of Oconomowoc, WI
Sister: Pauline Churchwell of Vienna
Step-Grandchildren: Richard Miller of Brentwood, TN
Matt Miller of Jacksonville, FL
Sabrina Fagan of Phoenix, AZ
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Rev. Jamey Hunt will officiate and burial will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family may be contacted at the Churchwell residence, 1810 Pleasant Valley Road, Vienna.
