Mary S. Summers

Mary S. Summers, age 91, of Cordele, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Cordelia Manor in Cordele.
Born in Dublin, she was the daughter of the late Hardy Smith and Inez Sessions Smith. She served as a Pharmacist's Mate in the United States Navy during World War II and later worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D. C. Mrs. Summers lived in Florida for many years prior to moving to Cordele. Her husband, George P. Summers, preceded her in death.
Survivors include:
Sisters: Barbara Ashley of Vienna
Brother: Joseph Smith of Dublin
She is also survived by several nieceds and nephews, including Susan Smith of Pinehurst.
Graveside services were held on Friday, May 7 at Deltona Memorial Gardens in Orange City, Florida.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna had charge of arrangements.
