Mary P. (Plunkett) Mccleskey
March 8, 1935 — October 16, 2017
Mary P. McCleskey, age 82, of 120 Oak Bin Road, Pinehurst, died Monday, October 16, 2017, at her residence.
Born in Abbeville, she was the daughter of the late Jake Plunkett and Inez Royal Plunkett. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Mrs. McCleskey played basketball for Unadilla High School which instilled in her a love of sports she carried the rest of her life. In later years, she enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sports. Her greatest love was taking care of her family. Her husband of 56 years, Gene McCleskey preceded her in death.

Daughter: Lori McCleskey Brannen of Hawkinsville
Sons:
Stuart McCleskey (Janet) of Vienna
Sam McCleskey of Pinehurst
Sister: Jimmie Carol Daniels of Perry
Grandchildren: Jacob Brannen, Michael McCleskey and Mark McCleskey
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Wednesday in First Baptist Church of Unadilla.
The family will greet friends 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
