Mary E. (Middlebrooks) Wilkes

Mary E. Wilkes, age 87, of 7455 Pinehurst-Byromville Road, Vienna, died Saturday, November 14, 2020, at the home of her daughter in Crestview, Florida.

Born in Dooling, she was the daughter of the late John David Middlebrooks and Rosa Raper Middlebrooks.  Mrs. Wilkes retired from Oxford Industries, was a member of Byromville Baptist Church and the widow of Rufus Q. Wilkes.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.  She was devoted to her family and her church. Her children arise up and call her blessed.  Proverbs 31:28(a).

Survivors include: Daughters: Kathy Slappy (Melvin) of Dawson Angela Jimes (Ronnie) of Shreveport, LA Katrina West (Kyle) of Crestview, FL

Son:  Rufus Q. Wilkes, Jr. of Vienna

Brother:  Jesse Harold Middlebrooks of Albany

Grandchildren:  18 Great Grandchildren:  24

A private funeral service for immediate family only will be held on Friday, November 20 in Byromville Baptist Church.  A public graveside service for friends will be held at 1:45 PM Friday, November 20 in Oliver Cemetery.
