Mary S. Mckinley

Mary S. "Birdie" McKinley, age 84, of 426 Second Street, Unadilla, died Friday, March 4, 2011, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Born in Pinehurst, she was the daughter of the late Bascom Brown Speight and Artie Lynch Speight. She graduated from Pinehurst High School on a Friday night, began working the following Monday and continued until her retirement in 2007. Mrs. McKinley was a longtime member of Unadilla United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Mary Murray Sunday School Class, the WMU and served her Lord in many other capacities through the years.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry B. McKinley and her brother, Harold Speight.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, March 6 in Unadilla United Methodist Church with interment in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 4 - 6 PM Saturday, March 5 at the funeral home.
