Mary Taylor King

Mary Taylor King, age 90, of Vienna, died Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Cordele Health & Rehab.
A native of Ideal she was the daughter of the late Dale Edgar Taylor and Katie Mae Dominey Taylor. She was a registered nurse and retired as a public health nurse at the Dooly County Health Department. She also worked at Dooly Medical Center and Cordele Health & Rehab. For several years, she served as director of the Vienna Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. King was a member of Midway Independent Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Raymond and Peggy King and Mary Julia and Gene Roney of Vienna; a brother and his wife, Pete and Mary Lou Taylor of Brinkley, AR; a sister, Verna Chambers of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, David Roney and Adam Roney who were the lights of her life and her former husband, Cecil J. King.
She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Dale King and two brothers, Dale Taylor, Jr. and Beauford Taylor.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, June 19 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna.
Interment will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 7 - 8 PM Thursday, June 18 at the funeral home.
