Mary Frances (Kinard) Bailey

November 29, 1925 — March 30, 2021

Mary Frances Bailey, age 95, of 80 Smoky Mountain Lane, Clayton, Georgia, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Cannonwood Assisted Living in Tiger, Georgia.

Born in Plains, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Barney E. Kinard and Irene Turner Kinard.  She worked as a bookstore manager at Augusta State University and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Clayton.  For many years she was a volunteer with Senior Friends in Snellville. In her later years, she moved to Rabun county to be near her daughter.  While in assisted living there, one of her favorite activities was playing bingo.

Survivors include: Daughter:  Frances Wilson (Neil) of Clayton

Brothers: Thomas Kinard (Betty) of Macon Eugene Kinard (Annette) of Macon W.C Kinard (Marjorie) of Pelham Lee Kinard (Donna) of Vienna

Sister:   Ann K. Nutt of Moultrie

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Myers "Doc" Bailey and her siblings, Frank Kinard, James Kinard, V.C Kinard, Marie K. Nelson and Pauline K. Sims.

A private service for immediate family only will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 1st in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home in Vienna.

The service will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page.

Memorial gifts maybe made to the donor's favorite charity.
