Mary W. Bowen

Mary W. Bowen, age 79, of Pinehurst, died Monday, October 22, 2012, at Bickford of Marietta Senior Living and Memory Care.

Born in Pinehurst, she was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Wright and Nora Lou Register Wright. She was a graduate of Andrew College and a retired teacher. Mrs. Bowen was a longtime member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School for 34 years, served on the P. P. R. committee and served as church historian.

Brooke Bowen of Cartersville

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bowen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, October 24 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Tuesday, October 23 at the residence of Rodney and Marylan Bowen, 375 Collins Road, Pinehurst.
