Marvin C. Peavy, age 68, of 1238 Perry Highway, Hawkinsville, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, in
Augusta.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Luther J. Peavy and Myrtle Bryant Peavy. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Faith Baptist Church and retired from Cemex.

He was preceded in death by his brother, L. J. Peavy, Jr.
Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 14 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla with Rev. Bruce Howland officiating.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Monday, August 13 at the funeral home.
