Martha Griggs Clark, age 79 of Jacksonville, Florida, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Mary P. Griggs. She graduated from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville and was a teacher for 33 years. She taught at Soutside Estates Elementary School in Jacksonville from 1957 until her retirement in 1984.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William Calfrey Clark of Jacksonville

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 26 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home in Unadilla. Rev. James Aycock will officiate and burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
