Marlene Arflin Dupree, age 77, of 600 Horne Street, Pinehurst, died Friday, September 18, 2015, at her residence.
Born in Pinehurst, she was the daughter of the late Garnett L. Arflin, Sr. and Emma Beck Arflin. Marlene worked 34 years as a program assistant for the USDA before retiring. She spent the next 19 years working at Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home. She was a longtime member of Pinehurst United Methodist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Grace Arflin Morris, Howard Arflin and Worth Arflin.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, September 20 in Pinehurst United Methodist Church with interment in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Saturday, September 19 at the funeral home and may be contacted at 600 Horne Street, Pinehurst.
