Margie (Langford) Albritton

Margie L. Albritton, age 82, of 408 Arena Road, Unadilla, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at her residence.

Born in Pinehurst, she was the daughter of the late Frank Langford and Inez Register Langford.  A 1960 graduate of Vienna High School, she played basketball for 4 years and served as team captain her junior and senior years.

Margie worked as a school photographer with Lifetouch, capturing the beautiful moments of life for more than 20 years.  She loved the Great Smoky Mountains, Cherokee and especially Cades Cove.  She enjoyed the river and watching elk.  When she wasn't in the mountains, she would read about them.  She would go as often as she could.  She loved family get togethers and enjoyed baking pecan pies and pound cakes and would always drink coffee.  She truly loved her family, especially her grandkids.  She loved watching wildlife from her porch and could make hummingbirds fly to her hand.

Daughters: Cindy Hamsley of Warner Robins Sharon Hamsley of Warner Robins Brandy Albritton of Ideal

Grandchildren: Dustin Hamsley (Deana) of Unadilla Olivia Hamsley of Columbus, IN Abby Hamsley of Titusville, FL Alexis Hamsley of Titusville, FL Kendra Hamsley of Cocoa Beach, FL Peyton and Taylor Wurtz of Ideal

Sisters: Sandra Pye Greer (Robert) of Statesboro Felicia Harrell (Clay) of Dillard

Sister-in-law:  Elain Langford of Pinehurst

Great Grandchildren: Barrett, Jaxtyn and Lexi Hamsley of Unadilla

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who knew her as "Aunt Ma."

She is also survived by Jayson and Alison Manalang of Pooler and their children, Jaylison, Addyson and Madyson, whom she loved like family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Steve Bush, Neil Bush and Chad Albritton and her brother, Covie Langford.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, May 24 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home.
