Mae Moree

Allie Mae Moree, 87, of Vienna, passed away on March 24, 2026, at Crisp Regional Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. 

She was born on June 26, 1938, to the late John Henry Griffin and Eula Mae Davidson Griffin in Wilcox County.

Mae was a dedicated dietary manager at Magnolia Manor for many years and operated a wedding cake baking business. She was an avid knitter, creating scarves and hats for local craft shows. Mae took great pleasure in cooking for her family, particularly her renowned beef jerky & sweet potato pies, and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her family will miss her deeply, including her dog, Peanut.

Grandchildren:  Joey Bowden (Katie), Jeremiah Bowden (Jerri), Tara Ward, Richard "Bubba" Nipper (Sabrina), Brandon Christmas (Lindsey), Lacey Diem (Dustin), Alyssa Herndon (Forrest), Hannah Howard, Nicholas Howard (Hannah)

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gay C. Bowden; her brother Opal Griffin; her sisters Mary Stanford and Ethelene White; her son-in-law Raymond Massey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 27 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Thursday, March 26 at the funeral home.
