Mae H. Kelly

Mae Hicks Kelly, age 85, of 3615 Kuida Avenue, Columbus, died Monday, October 26, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus.
Born in Pineview, she was the daughter of the late William Reece Hicks and Minnie Lee Pitts Hicks. She was a member of Edgewood United Methodist Church in Columbus for over 39 years and was active in her Sunday School class. She served on the Administrative Board, Nominating Committee and Trustees Committee. She served as church secretary for several years as well as financial secretary. Mrs. Kelly was named Edgewood's Woman of the Year for 2001. Before moving to Columbus, she was active in other Methodist churches as well.

Daughter: Mary Catherine Schmink (Christopher) of Columbus
Brother: William R. Hicks (Betty) of Macon
Grandchildren: Lauren Thaler Bates of Salem, OR
Jennifer Karen Daley (Kirk) of Jerome ID
Amy Leigh Jacobsen (Jonathan) of Lehi, UT
Great grandchildren: 9
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Kelly, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 30 in Edgewood United Methodist Church in Columbus.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, October 31 in Vienna City Cemetery.
