Lucy Butler Sanders

Lucy Butler Sanders, age 92, of 717 21st Avenue East, Cordele, died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Sanctuary Nursing Home in Kennesaw.
Born in Byromville, she was the daughter of the late Pat Butler and Ellie Wells Butler. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cordele and the Trinity Sunday School Class. Mrs. Sanders retired from the Georgia Department of Labor where she was an Employment Counselor. An avid golfer, she was a member of Pine Hills Country Club and also enjoyed playing at Veterans Memorial.
She is survived by her son, Don Dorough of Marietta.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 11 in First Baptist Church of Cordele with Rev. Roger Hanson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice of Atlanta, 1957 Lakeside Parkway, Tucker, GA 30084.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
