Lucille A. (Arflin) Welch

Lucille A. Welch, age 101, of 729 Pine Street, Pinehurst, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at High Cotton Home in Vienna.

Born in Pinehurst, she was the daughter of the late G. L. Arflin and Emma Beck Arflin.  Lucille lived a full life..  In fact, she visited 52 foreign countries during her life.  She and her first husband were stationed at Pearl Harbor and survived the Japanese attack in 1941.  Lucille was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church.

Survivors include: Son:  Douglas Welch (Tillie) of Unadilla

Step-Daughter:  Missie Surrency of Austell

Brother:  G. L. Arflin of Unadilla

Grandchildren:  8 Great Grandchildren:  10 Great Great Grandchildren:  10

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Welch and John Boston and by her son, Donnie Welch.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, July 18 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home.  Rev. Freddy Hogg will officiate and interment will be in Pinehurst City Cemetery.
