Louise P. Goodroe

Louise P. Goodroe, age 87, of Unadilla died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville, Georgia.

Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Willie T. Peavy and Abigail Ransom Peavy. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla. For many years, she and her husband, the late James B. Goodroe owned and operated Goodroe's Grocery and Market.

Survivors include:
Sons: Willie Joe Goodroe (Betty) of Unadilla
Hinton Goodroe (Nancy) of Unadilla
Roy Goodroe (Marilyn) of Hawkinsville
John Robert "Doodle" Goodroe (Debra) of Unadilla

Grandchildren: 14
Great Grandchildren: 22

Her brothers, Willie Edward Peavy, Ira Butler Peavy and James Franklin Peavy preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, May 12 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Dr. Bob Murphy will officiate and burial will follow in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Tuesday, May 11 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
