Louise Churchwell, age 91, died Monday, March 8, 2004, in a Hawkinsville hospital.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Phillips and Lizzie Grace Haddock Phillips and was the widow of Luther Churchwell. She was a member of Vienna United Methodist Church and the order of the Eastern Star. A homemaker, she lived in Vienna most of her life, but last resided at Kingsford Place, a retirement home in Hawkinsville.
Survivors include:
Son: Harris Churchwell of Hawkinsville
Daughter: Betty Thiem of Blairsville
Sister: Mildred Rainey of Perry
Granddaughter: Connie Summers of Conyers
Great Grandchildren: 2
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 10 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna. Rev. Shane Green will officiate and burial will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 7 - 8 PM Tuesday, March 9 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vienna United Methodist Church, 313 Church Street, Vienna, GA 31092.
