Lila B. Woodruff

Lila B. Woodruff, age 90, of Pinehurst, died Sunday, February 24, 2008, in a Macon nursing home.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late David M. Bowen and Jessie Parker Bowen. She graduated from Tift College and Georgia State College and taught school in Dooly and Crisp Counties for many years. She was a devoted Christian who loved her church, Liberty Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. She also taught Sunday School and was a member of the WMU. Mrs. Woodruff enjoyed traveling until her health declined and she spent the last 5 years of her life at Bolingreen Nursing and Rehab. Her husband, Jack Woodruff, preceded her in death.

Sister-in-law: Louise Bowen of Pinehurst
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday in Liberty Cemetery near Pinehurst. Rev. Larry Wilbanks will officiate.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM.
