Lewis Lockerman

Lewis Lockerman, age 75, of 279 Azalea Avenue, Unadilla, died Friday, September 30, 2016, at his residence.

Born in Byromville, he was the son of the late Jefferson Davis Lockerman and Hettie Godfrey Lockerman. He retired from American General Insurance Company and then continued to work for Liberty Bankers and Columbian Insurance Companies. Lewis was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla where he was a member of the Brotherhood, the Disciples Sunday School Class and served as a Deacon. He loved sports, particularly baseball and softball. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lewis was wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Landree Hill of Perry

He was preceded in death by his siblings, J. D. Lockerman, Lurline Hambrick and Ruth Kohler.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Monday, October 3 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla. Rev. Bruce Howland, Rev. Chad Massey and Rev. Ralph Price will officiate. Interment will follow in Snow Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 2 - 4 PM Sunday, October 2 at the funeral home and may be contacted at 279 Azalea Drive, Unadilla.
