Lester Foster, Jr

Lester Foster, Jr., age 88, of Charlotte, North Carolina, died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Cobb, Georgia.

Mr. Foster died at the home of his son, Al Foster, music director at Drayton Baptist Church.

Born in Charlotte, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Lester and Viola Foster. He was a longtime member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Charlotte and a United States Navy veteran.

He is survived by his sons, Albert Foster (Nancy) and John Lester; brother, James Bruce Foster (Doloris) sisters, Octie Luellen "Ellen" Hall (Guy) and Barbara Jane Huneycutt; grandchildren, John Thomas "J. T." Foster, Albert Ramond Foster, Mac Gavin Foster and Bonnie Rae Foster; strep-granddaughter, Amber Sheffield (Glenn); 5 great grandchildren; step-great grandchildren, Courtney Sheffield and Dylan Sheffield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 4 at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Interment with military honors will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 2 - 4 PM Saturday, January 3 at McEwen Funeral Service.
