Leon Williams, age 68, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, September 24, 2005, at Pineview Health Care Center.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Madison Lee Williams and Lillie Mae Spradley Williams. He was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a US Army veteran and retired from RAFB.
Survivors include:
Wife: Merry Nell Williams of Pinehurst
Daughter: Tammy Cross (Royce) of Pineview
Son: Heath Lee Williams of Hawkinsville
Grandchildren: Jared Cross, Lindsey Cross and Hunter Williams
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday, September 26 in Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Joe Hughes and Rev. Wyndell Hamrick will officiate and burial will follow in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday, September 25 from 7 - 9 PM or may be contacted at the residence, 1690 Lonesome Pine Road, Pinehurst.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS Association of Georgia, Inc., 1955 Cliff Valley Way, Suite 116 Atlanta, GA 30329.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
