Lee M. Ferguson

Lee M. Ferguson, age 62, of Vienna, died Wednesday, September 9, 2026 in Unadilla.

Lee was born January 11, 1964 in Macon to the late James M. Ferguson and Lavelle Gay Ferguson.  He was a man who truly thrived in the great outdoors.  Over the years, he worked for Georgia Power, Doster's Warehouse and Reeves Construction, but when he wasn't working, he could almost always be found out in nature.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman who found great peace in the woods and on the banks of Georgia's waterways.  Above all, he was happiest on the water at Lake Blackshear.  He loved the speed and freedom of riding jet skis, water skiing and spending long, sunlit days guiding family and friends through the winding local rivers he knew so well.  Lee was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

His memory and strong adventurous spirit live on through his daughter, Madison James (Michael) of Pooler; his sisters, Barbara Woods (Derald) of Vienna and Frances Williams (John) of St. Simons Island; his brother, Jimmy Ferguson (Sandra) of Unadilla; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Molly Greene.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, September 19 at Morningside Cemetery in Rochelle.  Rev. Brian Cason will officiate.
