Lee Cross

Lee Ashlin Cross, Sr., age 78, of 454 Pine Avenue, Pinehurst, died Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his residence.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late J. T. Cross and Mary Jane Ashlin Cross.  Lee retired from McCranie/Lasseter Tractor Company in Unadilla after 54 years of service.  He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was a Deacon.  He had also served as a Pinehurst City Councilman.  Lee was devoted to his family, especially his grandson, Jake, who was truly the apple of his eye.  He and Jake spent many hours together and Lee was a constant guiding force in Jake's life.  As long as his health permitted, Lee was present at whatever event Jake was a part of.

Survivors include: Wife:  Donna Fay Cross of Pinehurst

Son:  Ashlin Cross (RoiAnn) of Vienna

Daughter:  Michelle C. Harrell (Clark) of Pinehurst

Sister:  Brenda Gramm (Don) of Vienna

Grandchildren: Jake Cross, Taylor Hall, Ashley Greene, Trey Harrell and Lauren Harrell

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Cross and his great niece, Brooklyn Sangster.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, January 7 in Liberty Baptist Church.  Rev. Brian Sangster and Rev. Don Howell will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Monday, January 6 at the funeral home.
