Lee (Musselwhite) Abanathy

Lee Abanathy, age 64, of 127 George Street, Vienna, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Montezuma, she was the daughter of the late Luther R. Musselwhite and Thedis Rudd Musselwhite.  Lee had worked as a paraprofessional with the Dooly and Pulaski County Schools.  She was a loving wife and mother.

Survivors include: Husband:  Sam Abanathy of Vienna

Son:  Walter M. Abanathy, Jr. of Cochran

Daughter:  Rebecca Nicole Edge (Brian Chuck, Jr.) of Vienna

Sister:  Winnie Davis (Bruce) of Pinehurst

Brothers: Danny Musselwhite of Kathleen Billy Musselwhite of Fort Valley

Grandchildren:  Samuel Lee Abanathy and Katherine Elizabeth Abanathy

She is also survived by her faithful companions, her dogs, Chloe and Angel.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, February 26 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home.  Dr. James C. Gauthier will officiate.
