Lavelda Scarbary

Lavelda Scarbary, age 59, of 144 Justice Road, Vienna, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at her residence.

Born in Cordele, she was the daughter of the late Grady M. Parsons and Susie M. Lewis Parsons. She was the manager of the Travel America Restaurant in Jackson, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ben Parsons.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM CDT, Saturday, April 18 at Pleasant Hill Methodist Protestant Bible Church in Ashland, Alabama. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday, April 16 at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence of Thelma Bowen, 144 Justice Road, Vienna.

Memorial gifts may be made to Reflections Hospice, 202 4th Avenue East, Cordele, Georgia 31015.

The family would like to say a "special thank you" to Thelma Bowen and Beverly Mayberry for all their love and support caring for our mom during her battle with cancer. We are forever thankful.
