Kent Hood, age 54, of 451 Beacham Avenue, Unadilla, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at his residence.
Born in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late J. C. Hood. Kent was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla. He worked as a hairstylist in Macon, Atlanta, Warner Robins and Oglethorpe and some of his clients were the Allman Brothers Band, Stillwater, Millie Jackson and the Black Oak Arkansas Band. Kent was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and NASCAR, where he especially followed the career of David Ragan. He loved flowers and won numerous awards for his work at the Georgia National Fair. Kent was a member of several Bonsai Clubs. He also loved animals and enjoyed raising Koi. One of his greatest loves was gospel music and his favorite group was the Bill Gaither Trio.

Marvin Peavy of Hawkinsville
He is also survived by numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Thursday, April 14 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla with interment in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, April 13 at the funeral home.
