Kenneth Elburn Brown, age 87, of Vienna, died Friday, July 31, 2026, at Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor in Cordele after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and was adopted by Pauline Carson Brown Jones and Hobert Elburn Brown. He was a farmer until the 7-year drought in the 1980's and then switched vocations to become a corrections officer until his retirement. Kenneth was a beloved husband of 35 years to Joyce and a dedicated father and grandfather. Above all, he was a man of deep faith.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his children, Sherri Dodgen (Kenneth), Trudy Dawson and Anne Parise (John); his grandchildren, Skyeler, Alexander, Henry, Grace and Bonnie; his great grandchildren, Raylynn and Evelynn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ricky.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, August 4 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home. A private interment will follow in Lupo Cemetery. Rev. James Kelley will officiate.
The family will greet friends 1 - 3 pm Tuesday, August 4 at the funeral home.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
