June F. Foster, age 87, of Vienna, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, in a Cordele nursing home.

Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Gordon Forehand and Mary Lillian Coppedge Forehand. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and operated a grocery store in Vienna for many years. Mrs. Foster was also a farmer and was the first female farmer in Georgia to make a ton to the acre of peanuts.

Sisters: Lillian Harris of Vienna
Frances Ward of Jefferson

Grandchildren: 2

Great Grandchildren: 2

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ruel Chadwick and Ernest Foster.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 28 in Shiloh United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Teate officiating. Interment will follow in Vienna City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27 from 7 - 9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vienna UMC, 313 Church Street, Vienna, GA 31092.
