Julia Davenport

Julia Davenport, age 91, of Marietta died Saturday, March 15.

Born in Richland, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Nathaniel Bartlett and Ola Harrell Bartlett. She worked as a civilian payroll clerk at Fort Benning, was a member of First Baptist Church of Marietta and was the widow of Simmie Davenport. She lived in Americus for many years and while there, she was an active member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
Daughter: Gwen Colwell of Marietta
Grandchildren: Gail Slater of Westminster, MD
Clark Colwell of Rex
Laura Stewart of Smyrna
Great Grandchildren: 6

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, March 17 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery near Pinehurst. Rev. Jack Colwell will officiate.

The family will receive friends in Liberty Baptist Church one hour prior to the service.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18 in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Marietta.

Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
