Joyce W. (Wrenn) Cummings

Joyce W. Cummings, age 80, of 18 Orchard Road, Hawkinsville, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at her residence.

Born in Vienna, she was the daughter of the late Rodney Wrenn and Vera Arnold Wrenn.  She retired from the Naval Space Surveillance Station in Hawkinsville where she worked as a secretary.  Previously, she was a seamstress at Opelika Manufacturing in Hawkinsville.  Mrs. Cummings was a member of Christian Friends Baptist Church and the widow of Verlyn Cummings.

Survivors include: Daughters: Gayle Newman of Hawkinsville Karen Stokes of Hawkinsville Teresa Shurley (Andy) of Hawkinsville

Sisters: Deborah Haygood of Vienna Janis Pennington of Vienna

Grandchildren: Thomas Stokes of Hawkinsville Brittany Greene of Bonaire Holly Goss of Hawkinsville Mary Howard of Hawkinsville

Great Grandchildren:  11

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, July 20 in Tippettville Cemetery.
