John H. Smith, Jr

John H. Smith, Jr., age 86, of 8604 Highway 230 West, Unadilla, died Monday, February 9, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late John H. Smith and Alma Lois Scott Smith. He was a farmer, worked for the Boll Weevil Eradication Program and served as a park attendant at Highland Park on the Chattahoochee River. His greatest love was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha S. Roberts and Emily S. Brannen.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 11 in Snow United Methodist Church with interment in Walnut Cemetery in Unadilla.

The family will greet friends 1 - 2:30 PM Wednesday, February 11 at the church.
