John W. Hurdle, Iii

John W. Hurdle, III, age 84, of 503 Leon Street, Vienna, died Friday, April 29, 2022, at his residence.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late John W. Hurdle, Jr. and Catherine Hutchens Hurdle.  With honor, he served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War and the Vietnam War.  Following his retirement from the military, he worked as a security guard at Georgia Pacific and as a mechanic with the City of Cordele.

Survivors include: Daughters: Connie McNulty (Mike) of Nicholls Debra Kay Hurdle of Nicholls Lisa Moreno (Jose) of Copperas Cove, TX

Son:  John W. Hurdle, IV (Linda) of TyTy

Several grandchildren survive, including Ann Shugart of Tifton and Albert "Bubba" Shugart of Candler, NC. Several great children also survive.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherry Hurdle.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 5 in Vienna City Cemetery. Rev. Brian Leverett will officiate.
