John D. Boston, age 85, of Pinehurst, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.
Mr. Boston was born in Akron, Ohio, but lived in Florida for many years. He served his country in the US Navy and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Boston retired after 30 years from S & S Metals and Plastics in Jacksonville, Florida, where he was sales manager. He was a Presbyterian and a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Lucille Arflin Welch of Pinehurst and a step-son, Douglas Welch of Unadilla.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, January 27 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla. Rev. Freddy Hogg will officiate.
