Joan C. Diaz, age 86, of 9237 Highway 230 West, Unadilla, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at her residence.
Born in Champlain, New York, she was the daughter of the late James Harold Coonan and Genevieve L. Gload Coonan. She was a retired school teacher with the Sarasota, Florida school system.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Betty Parrish of Unadilla.
Her husband, Alphonso P. Diaz, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be private.
