Jessie Sinyard (Altman) Penny

Jessie Sinyard Penny, age 83, of 295 Harman Street, Unadilla, died Thursday, August 27, 2020, at her residence.

Born in Unadilla, she was the daughter of the late Roy Altman and Lois Davison Altman.  She worked as a supervisor at Oxford Industries and was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla.  She loved taking care of her yard, but her greatest love was her family.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, was loved by everyone and enjoyed sharing memories and recipes with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: Sons: Roy Sinyard, Jr. (Debra) of Unadilla Ronald Sinyard (Fran) of Unadilla Randy Sinyard (Farrah) of Unadilla

Daughters: Judy Offenberg (John) of Unadilla Pam Holmes (Terry) of Pawleys Island, SC

Brothers: Lamar Altman of Unadilla Bobby Altman of Unadilla Calvin Altman of Roberta

Sisters: Johnnie Brannen of Blythe Kathy Darsey of Elko

Grandchildren:  16 Great Grandchildren:  23 Great Great Grandchildren:  1

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Roy Sinyard, Sr.; her daughter, Brenda Moore; her grandsons, Brad Moore and Justin Holmes; her brothers, R. L. Altman and Ray Gene Altman; her sister, Irene Cape.

Graveside services will be at 3 PM Saturday, August 29 in Snow Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Pickard officiating.  The service will be live-streamed on the funeral home Facebook page.

A drive-thru visitation will be held 6 - 8 PM Friday, August 28 at the funeral home.  Please approach the funeral home on Cherry Street coming from Walnut Cemetery.  Please remain in your vehicle.  You will be able to register, receive a memorial folder and speak to the family.  You will be allowed to park and enter the funeral home to view Mrs. Penny if you wish or you may leave the property onto Borum Street.
