Jean T. (Thompson) Weeks

Jean T. Weeks, age 73, of Dooling, died Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Born in Montezuma, she was the daughter of the late Charlie E. "Buck" Thompson and Betty Lou Herring Thompson.  Jean was a member of Drayton United Methodist Church and had worked as a pharmacy technician.  She had served as Mayor of Dooling for the past 30 years.

Survivors include: Son:  Charles E. "Chuck" Weeks of Americus

Sister:  Kay Humphries (Jim) of Mountville

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman E. Weeks and her brother, James L. "Jimmy" Thompson.

Public viewing will take place on Tuesday, December 22 and Wednesday, December 23 at the funeral home.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, December 27 in Roberts Cemetery with Rev. Hall Grimmett officiating.
