Janie R. Sparrow

Janie R. Sparrow, age 83, of 3795 Pinehurst-Hawkinsville Highway, Pinehurst, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville.

Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie W. Register and Leola Layfield Register. She was a member of Smyrna Independent Methodist Church and the Women's Auxiliary. Mrs. Sparrow was a homemaker and the widow of Fate H. Sparrow.

She was preceded in death by her grandchild, Angie Whipkey and her sisters, Agnes Talley and Inez Langford.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 8 in Smyrna Independent Methodist Church with interment in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday, April 7 at the funeral home.
