Janice C. Edwards, age 82, of 301 Beacham Avenue, Unadilla, died Wednesday, May 18, 2011.
Born in Dooly County, she was the daughter of the late Richard G. Cooley and Ada Nutt Cooley. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Unadilla and retired from Lanier Clothing where she was a quality control inspector. Mrs. Edwards was the widow of James Yancey Edwards and a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Harold Yancey "Hal" Edwards (Kitty) of Dothan, AL
John Edwards (Lisa) of Unadilla
Tim Edwards (Marla) of Shellman
Sister: Molly Frances Hamby of Crossville, TN
Brother: William G. Cooley (Carole) of Byron
Grandchildren: 10
Great Grandchildren: 3
Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Edwards' children would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to her extended family, the employees of Leisure Life and United Hospice for their loving care and devotion.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 20 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Thursday, May 19 at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be made to United Hospice, 708 East 16th Avenue, Cordele, GA 31015.
