James Randall Tharpe

James Randall Tharpe, age 74, of 882 East Railroad Street, Unadilla, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at his residence.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Erastus Tharpe and Pauline Ratterree Tharpe.  He served his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps and was a retired carpenter.  James loved his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them how to fish.

Survivors include: Daughter:  Tammy Kimsey of Vienna

Step-Sons:  David Watson and Allen Thompson both of Unadilla

Sister:  Jeanette Parker (Wendell) of Byron

Grandchildren: Gavin Bryant (Tiffany) of Cochran Austin Watson (Christine) of Cordele Jessica Kimsey (Matthew) of Pinehurst Kayla Kimsey (Shane) of Dooling Jacob Winders of Unadilla Jamie Kimsey of Vienna Justin Bellflower (Porsha) of Warner Robins Jazmine Bellflower of Vienna Robert Thompson of Byromville Stella Thompson of Byromville

Great Grandchildren:  Angela, Zander, Kalep, Charlie, Kenzie, Ivy, Hazel, Tilly and Braydon

Partner:  Shirley Thompson of Unadilla

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, September 16 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home.
