James S. Stuart, age 72, of Dacula, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at his residence.
Born in Byron, he was the son of the late John Frank Stuart and Sarah Mae Cheek Stuart. James graduated from Willingham High School in Macon in 1961 and started his HVAC career in 1962. He worked his way up through the ranks at York International from service technician to district service manager over Georgia, Florida and Alabama from 1968 to 1985. In 1985, he began working at Raymond Services as service manager and was promoted to general manager. He founded Excelco Industrial Services in 2001, a commercial, industrial and process refrigeration company and served as President until May of 2016. James was a member of the Atlanta Plumbers & Steamfitters Local Union 72 for the majority of his career.
He was a former member of Mountain Park Baptist Church in Stone Mountain for 15 years where he served on the Buildings and Grounds Committee.
James was a member of Tippettville Baptist Church. His goal was to retire in Tippettville with his wife Teresa on the farm left to her by her father, the late Malcolm Tippett.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Saturday, June 4 in Tippettville Baptist Church with interment in Tippettville Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 6 - 8 PM Friday, June 3 at the funeral home.
