James Lee Mcwhorter

James Lee McWhorter, age 74, of 509 Birch River Drive, Dahlonega, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

Born in Unadilla, he was the son of the late James Henry McWhorter and Jewell Adams McWhorter. He was a United States Air Force veteran and retired from Robins Air Force Base. Mr. McWhorter was a member of County Line Baptist Church, was an avid golfer and loved supporting the Georgia Bulldogs.

Wife: Sharon M. McWhorter of Dahlonega

Debra M. Goodroe (John Robert) of Unadilla
Felicia M. Rigsby (Steve) of Byromville

Step Son: Craig Adams (Jaclyn) of Atlanta

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, March 20 in County Line Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Saturday, March 19 at the funeral home.
