James Lee Cross

James Lee "Jim" Cross, age 83, of Panama City Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at his residence.

Jim was born in Vienna and was the youngest of eight children born to the late James Oscar Cross and Gertrude Nelson Cross.  He was a printer by trade, having worked at Robins Air Force Base and later opening his own printing business, Quality Press in Atlanta.  Jim was an avid fisherman and loved hunting.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Social Circle.  At the time of his death, he was a resident of Superior Assisted Living in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Survivors include: Wife:  Sydney S. Cross

Sons: Glen Cross of Cordele Brian Cross of Panama City, FL Eric Cross (Sandy) of Panama City, FL

Brother:  Rev. Mobley Cross of Centerville

Grandchildren: Mark Hardy Morgan Hardy

He was preceded in death by his siblings, John H. Cross, Bernice Barry, Opal Mason, J. O. Cross, Jr., Ben Cross and Janice Duncan.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, December 8 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla with interment in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will greet friends 5 - 7 PM Saturday, December 7 at the funeral home.
