James W. "Jim" Peavy

James W. "Jim" Peavy, age 81, of Unadilla, died Sunday, January 3, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Haliburton Peavy and Lucy Bryant Peavy. He was a US Army veteran and a Baptist. Mr. Peavy was the former owner of Peavy's Exxon and after his retirement, he worked as a Courier for Citizens Bank and Flag Bank.

Wife: Florice S. Peavy of Unadilla
Daughters: Joy Bramblett (Gerry) of Unadilla
Tammy Shugart (Don) of Unadilla
Jan Jones (Ronnie) of Unadilla
Connie Veeder (Bruce) of Stedman, NC
Grandchildren: Trey & Taylor Shugart, Allie Jones,
Hanna, Abby, Nathan and Jacob Veeder
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, January 5 in First Baptist Church of Unadilla with interment in Walnut Cemetery.
The family will greet friends 7 - 9 PM Monday, January 4 at the funeral home.
Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Unadilla has charge of arrangements.
