James C. Holmes, age 82, of Vienna, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.
Born in Dothan, Alabama, he was the son of the late Arthur Edward Holmes and Myrtice Allen Holmes. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and retired from AT & T. His wife, Patricia Akins Holmes, preceded him in death.

Son: Michael Holmes of Newnan
Daughter: Vicki Holmes Brown of Zebulon
Grandchildren: 5
Great Grandchildren: 3
Funeral services will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday, July 12 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.
The family will greet friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
