James Baggs

James H. Baggs, age 69, of 110 Marina Court, Fayetteville, died Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Brightmoor Hospice in Griffin.

Born in Americus, he was the son of the late Armond Lamar Baggs, Jr. and Myrtle Hall Baggs.  Jim was an engineer for Norfolk Southern Railway for 42 years.  When he was not working, he enjoyed being at the farm.  Above all, he was a loving and devoted husband and father.

Survivors include:
Wife:  Tracy T. Baggs of Fayetteville

Son:  Justin Baggs (Cara Anne Anderson) of Roswell

Sister:  Regina Baggs (Ella Campbell) of Decatur

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Armond Lamar Baggs, III.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, September 23 at Templeton-Baggs Cemetery near Vienna.  Rev. Donald Bridges will officiate.
