Jackie R. Johnson

Jackie R. Johnson, age 70, of 22275 South Oaks Road, Byromville, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele.

Born in Vienna, he was the son of the late Jessie R.. "Bud" Johnson and Gladys Anderson Johnson.  Jackie graduated from Georgia Southwestern College and South Georgia Technical College.  He had worked at Kitchens Pharmacy and International Paper Company.  He was also self-employed as a handyman, known as "Jackie of all trades."  He loved fishing and also enjoyed genealogy.

Survivors include: Wife:  Tracy B. Johnson of Byromville

Brother:  Richard Lewis "Ricky" Johnson (Linda) of Oglethorpe

Sisters: Dorothy A. Lester (Bill) of Byromville Gwen J. Free (Chip) of Elko

Brothers-in-law: Larry Broome (Rita) of St. Cloud, FL Ronnie Broome (Mako) of Orlando, FL

Sisters-in-law: Eva Toyamo (Steve) of Sacramento, CA Tina House (Chris) of Pensacola, FL Lori Godfrey (Roger) of Unadilla

Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive,

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene William Johnson, his father and mother-in-law, Carroll and Lauretta Broome and his constant 4-legged companion, Lilly Pearl.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday, June 23 in the chapel of Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home with interment in Johnson Cemetery.

The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM.
