Jack Bowen

Jack Bowen, age 89, of 355 McWhorter Street, Unadilla, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at Bryant Health & Rehab Center in Cochran.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Willie M. Bowen and Irene Williams Bowen.  He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force and worked as parts manager at Brannen Motor Company.  Jack was a former city councilman in Unadilla.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and beekeeping but his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren.  Above all, Jack was a Christian.

Survivors include: Wife of 66 years, Betty D. Bowen of Unadilla

Son:  Jackie Bowen (Laura) of Cochran

Brother:  Bobby Bowen (Joyce) of Unadilla

Grandchildren: Brett Bowen (Allie) of Charlotte, NC Brittney Bowen Bailey (Brock) of Cochran

Great Grandchildren: Sadie Bowen of Charlotte, NC Bowen Bailey of Cochran Emmie Banks Bailey of Cochran

Graveside services will be at 3 PM Thursday, October 15 in Harmony-Smyrna Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Evans officiating.  Everyone attending is encouraged to wear face masks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
