Howard Butler

Howard "Pop" Butler, age 94, of Unadilla, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Perry Hospital in Perry.

Born in Unadilla, he was the son of the late Dr. William Ira Butler and Mattie Lee Butler. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII, a member of Unadilla United Methodist Church, the Unadilla Lions Club and retired as Postmaster in Unadilla.

Survivors include:
Wife: Sarah B. Butler of Unadilla

Daughter: Betty Rabun (Gene) of Orange Beach, AL

Grandson: Lee Greer of Tallassee, AL

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Dawson, a brother, James Butler and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Butler Greer.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, June 3 in Unadilla United Methodist Church. Rev. Grady Vance will officiate and interment will follow in Walnut Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 PM Saturday, June in the E. H. Conner Fellowship Hall of Unadilla United Methodist Church.
