Horace J. Royal

Horace J. Royal, age 89, of 2715 Mt. Vernon Road, Vienna, died Saturday, April 17 in a Cordele nursing home.

Born in Dooly County, he was the son of the late Ashley Quinton Royal and Winnie Mae Dunn Royal, was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, a US Army veteran and retired from Middle Georgia EMC, where he was a line foreman.

Wife: Dorothy "Sue" Royal of Vienna

Daughter: Sara Jane Turnbull (Joe) of Ozark, AL

Sons: Ashley M. Royal of Hoonah, AK
Jerry Royal of Vienna
Chris Royal (Laura) of Vienna

Brother: Ronald Royal (Fleta) of Vienna

Grandchildren: 5

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 20 in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Rev. Jamey Hunt will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 7 - 9 PM Monday, April 19 at the funeral home.
